Most furniture is made with fiberboard, glued together and covered with veneer or plastic. These materials out gas chemicals for years. Bed is made with 16 slats to provide you with a medium firm bed. We offer a 4-slat upgrade kit to get a total of 20 slats for an even firmer bed.
